Announcing our 2014 nonprofit partner: Hope House
POA is pleased to announce our 2014 nonprofit partner: Hope House.
Hope House is a residential treatment facility that serves women who suffer from the disease of substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders, including homeless single women, pregnant women, and women with children.
By way of this partnership POA fulfills its community contribution goal by directing organizing resources and expertise to support the work of Hope House.
POA’s commitment to Hope House is threefold:
- to help equip residents with practical organizational tools for managing the demands in their lives by leading free organizing and time management seminars. Marin Rose of Libra Organizing conducted the first session on March 28. The second will be held May 9.
- to help increase efficiency throughout the organization by providing free organizing services to the administration. Examples include front office paper filing assistance, systems implementation for tracking donations and supply inventories, and office organization support for individual staff.
- to help acquire resources for residents and staff by soliciting in-kind donations from clients and the community at large.
Spring cleaning? Downsizing?
